What I cant understand is when a "Peoples Vote" is proposed the screams of "it's not democratic" rings out from most Brexit supporters but Mays "Purposeful Vote" has been rejected twice and now she's putting it forward for a third vote next Tuesday; where's the democracy in that?
Let's hope John Bercow uses his rightful authority to block this attempt to undermine parliament.

The referendum WAS a people's vote. The point about democracy is that the result of the referendum has not yet been carried out. You don't give someone a vote, ignore it then claim its democracy. When and if Britain leaves then another referendum can be held, fairly and the result upheld. To my mind THAT is democracy.

Alan
But you can say the same about the Purposeful Vote as well, there was a vote and it was rejected, a second vote on the same deal and it was rejected and now she wants to have a third vote and possibly even a fourth, nothing has been implemented just like you stated on the referendum. The same point as you make; the agreement after the first vote should have either been radically changed to a different agreement or thrown into the dustbin of history.
Leavers complain about the possibility of the referendum being re-run until there's a different result but isn't the PM doing exactly the same with her Purposeful Vote; what makes one action wrong and the other right?
