Girl with a sparrow now has a dove!

When artist Yiota Ioannidou created the lovely "Girl With A Sparrow" statue, in Old Town Pafos, she couldn't have anticipated what would happen next. While the statue was greeted with warmth and respect by locals and tourist alike, some vandals decided to remove the sparrows.

Not to be deterred, Yiota replaced the sparrows, only to have them removed again. When we informed her, via Facebook, that the bird thieves had struck again, she came up with a novel solution...
