Australian Cypriot doctor on trial for giving daughter life-saving CPR

 A Greek Cypriot doctor, Jack Kerry (Kyriacou), is on trial for giving life-saving CPR to his daughter after she overdosed on heroin, despite evidence her friend - who later died from the overdose - was in a worse condition a court in Australia heard....

Anybody who was in the same situation as this doctor would surely have done the same thing, wouldn't they? It's part of basic human instinct.

Something so wrong that this has to go to court, he did what any father would do.

Very very sad, but I would think that, 99% of people in the same situation, would do the same?

Seems a very harsh judgement to me too. How could a father not be expected to look after his daughter as she was in a life threatening condition?
I wonder if this doctor called for emergency med help for the other patient first?

So they say the doctor should have attended the more seriously injured patient first. But what would have happened if that patient had died and the delay in attending the less seriously injured patient had caused that patient to die. Such decisions are taken every day in hospitals (triage) and no-one considers putting those who decided on trial.

Absolutely horrendous situation for any doctor to find him/herself in. Natural instincts would always kick in. How can he possibly be charged for this. Simply awful.
