Lidl have frozen Austrian Apfelstrudel on offer this week. Bought one (pack of three portions) yesterday and we had it last night with custard. Surprisingly good, bordering on excellent, loaded with fruit. Defrost for four hours and 30-40 min in oven @ 180°C (they say a little less time, but the pastry cooks slowly in the oven).
OH sent me back today to buy 6 packs (couldn't buy more, as freezer is already chock-a-bloc!)

Re: Apfelstrudel
Thanks telling how to prepare it as I bought already one. They changed their stock at Lidl TOTK on Sunday and I found it luckily as it is not in their flyer...Devil wrote: ↑Tue Feb 12, 2019 3:24 pm Lidl have frozen Austrian Apfelstrudel on offer this week. I was going to heat it up in my friends microwave for 3 minutes and I wonder if this is any good like this....

Anything vaguely pie-like does not work well with a microwave.
