Liverpool always struggled against Leicester when he was in goal. The kop always clapped him, and other opposing goalkeepers, andalso sang, he's the best goalie in the world. All the heroes from my childhood seem to be passing away. Read this week that Ian Ross, who played for Liverpool in the 60s had died. May Gordon RIP.

A hero from my young days, surprised that he was 81, how the years fly, very sad.

He was a lovely man who I once briefly met, he will never be forgotten for that save against Pele. I hope he makes other good saves wherever he is now.
