Lincoln - we were also there this morning, 08:30.
No problems, had all the paperwork, some she didn't even look at, photos taken, €20 paid and out in less the 10 minutes.

Re: MEU-3
I know there is a much fuller thread on this subject, I had an experience as those above, home within an hour, did it ourselves, the MEU3 certificate came to us in a few weeks not months, I guess it depends on who picks up the sent request in Nicosia?.

Re: MEU-3
Finally had our appointment today , not as quick as some people have had the good fortune to have had .
Arrived at 10pm collected our number from reception , got seen at 12 noon .
As others have said a speedy process when you do get in .
One thing she did throw back at me was my tax information , said it was not accepted at Nicosia .

We went last September and still waiting for our certificate, it is very puzzling why some come through in a matter of weeks and some take months.
Does anyone know if there is an email address or phone number you can call to check up on the progress or do we just have to wait?

Re: MEU-3
I am still waiting for MEU 3! Someone in immigration queried that my EAC bills were too low. Still not found out who is dealing with it in immigration, Nicosia. Surely, it is up to EAC to decide what power I used in relation to what my PV panels generated?

I can only confirm what HIC wrote. If you do need your MU3 you may have to get someone like Gwenny to chase it up. The folders are stacked floor to ceiling and there doesn't appear to be any sort of system in place for time dating applications. If you go yourself you can see one of the supervisors if you are prepared to wait but the office is usually mobbed.

Re: MEU-3
I spoke to Gwenny’s Red Tape this morning who confirmed most of the above. I am hoping that they will chase my application up. It appears that having created their own (cumbersome) system for issuing this form Immigration are now snowed under with applications for the MEU3! Which is little consolation to those awaiting issue of the MEU3.

Re: MEU-3
When we made our MEU3 appointment the numbers and approximate time of interview were written on the form and corresponded with the list the staff were using. Just arrived in the reception area and waited for our numbers to be called.
Re: MEU-3
That could be the difference , my appointment just had a squiggle instead of a number .

Correct, the numbers 30 + 31 were in that section. Our appointment time was the same as yours but we were seen later because some of the agents went directly into the main office in the door along the corridor past reception and were seen first.
I would always advise people to ask for an appointment early morning as delays occur as the morning progresses because some applications take longer than others. You do not have to take the first date and time offered by the receptionist, she is just filling in the diary in chronological order.

Re: MEU-3
I've just had a telephone call from Immigration in Nicosia, concerning my appication for MEU3 last December. The woman on the phone said I hadn't paid any electricity bills for 2 years. I explained that I had net metering installed in early 2017, and now only pay the monthly standing charge. She wasn't satisfied with this, and asked for two years bank statements instead. No problem, I was able to email these to her as attachments, and hopefully everything will be OK, but beware anyone else with net metering, you may be asked for further evidence of your residency.
