Thought today I would go down to the coast and walk to where I crossed the River Ezousas this time last year on my bike. There is no way I could ride across it.
Last February, this is what it looked like.
And today,
Crossing the Ezousas

Great comparison, I visit this area often as it's one of my main wildlife haunts!

Re: Crossing the Ezousas
I would love to be able to cross on my bike but don't fancy hitting one of the rocks hiding beneath the water. Also, the banks of the river consist of very soft sand, as I found out when I tried to take a picture looking upstream.
I agree it is a good area for spotting wildlife. Last year I saw a pair of eagrets. This is just one of them.
I will just have to find another route. I am able to ride on farm tracks from Timi to Achelia, cross the river using the bridge and hopefully pick up farm tracks on the other side of the river. If not it is cycling along the main road and using the cycle track on the new road.
I enjoyed my walk today. After walking to the river I walked to the Lighthouse and back.
There were a couple of very brave people in the sea. It amuses me the variety of clothes people wear at this time of year. I had a thermal vest, thick long trousers, a t shirt and jumper and ended up taking off my jumper. It was around 17c. There were people in shorts, sandals and tshirts and others wrapped up as if it was the arctic.
I can't remember seeing these columns before.
Finally, near the lighthouse. I did not walk down to lighthouse beach.
