Police in the Paphos district are asking for the public’s help to find 69 year old Eleni Plakidi, who has been missing from her home in Polis Chrysochous since Thursday afternoon.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Polis Chrysochous police station on telephone 26806280. Alternatively they can contact the closest police station, or telephone the emergency numbers 112 and 199 or the citizens hot line on 1460.
Earlier on Friday reports from Paphos said the woman had left the house to go to a nearby shop but did not return

Re: Missing Person - Polis Area
Very sad news indeed. RIP Eleni.
I knew her quite well from the time I lived in Polis area in the 80's. She was a German teacher for disabled children and retired early in Cyprus, where she enjoyed her time around Polis square. Obviously she got married to a Cypriot later on. As she was found far away from her car she must have lost orientation... what a terrible death.
