Yes odd situation, I do know Paphos did have a desalination plant, what happened to that one?, my experience of desalination water from my visits in the past to Ibiza was it always tasted salty, I hope they have or will have a chance to alleviate that problem, also the cost of running these plants is very high.

The water supply in our area is usually if not full-time from the Desalination plant in Dhekelia. Tastes simply - like water - no flavour or smell - just negative. I cannot tell the difference between it and that from any of the bottled water brands.
