Great pics Dominic. Love to see water flowing, just wish there were systems in place here to capture the water before it just rubs into the sea ☹️

It was lovely standing in the river filming it. Regarding saving water, short of turning the Ezousa Valley into a reservoir, which would be a really bad idea in terms of the natural environment, the only alternative is a pipeline to Asprokremmos, I would imagine. All the rivers do have reservoirs on their course, it is just that some of them have the reservoirs closer to the source. The Ezousa flows through Kannivou, and Diarizos through the one up by Kelefos Bridge.

All the major rivers have been dammed and there are 108 listed dams and storage tanks in Cyprus which is the highest per unit area in Europe, providing a total storage capacity of 331.93 mcm.
