When it is cold like now: electric comfort heating...
I personally heat my rooms via inverter air-cons but I know many people don't like that method. A interesting alternative would be a electric radiator heating, made in Germany, using fire-clay heating bricks like in old fashioned tiled stoves which keep the room longer warm after the electric is switched off. If you want you can control it with your smartphone. Some more information from the German website for this product from Thermotec.
It is available in Paphos from GreenAir.

AeroFlow® technology is the result of many years of research and development work. It combines improved heat storage with an optimized heat flow concept. Both components together ensure a cozy warm, pleasant room climate and at the same time help to save energy costs. Fireclay heating bricks specially developed for Thermotec store the heat particularly well and keep the temperature of the radiator constant for a long time without having to reheat. A special manufacturing process developed by us has improved the heat transfer of the heating stones to the housing. The radiator is thus heated particularly quickly and evenly. In addition, flow-optimized fins ensure a lower circulation speed with higher air flow. The result: less dust in the air and a faster and more even heating.

Sounds like nice heaters, and the efficiency is 100%, i.e., for 1 kWh of electricity consumption, you will get 1 kWh of heat. With a modern aircon, for 1 kWh of electricity consumption, you will get 3 to 4 kWh of heat because you are pumping calories from the outside air into your room. Horses for courses.

That's why I use inverter air-cons as mentioned in my post above.....Devil wrote: ↑Thu Jan 03, 2019 7:15 pm Sounds like nice heaters, and the efficiency is 100%, i.e., for 1 kWh of electricity consumption, you will get 1 kWh of heat. As far as I know there is a 15 year guarantee. Prices depend on the size and power of the radiator and the extras, p.e. if you want to control it with your smartphone or not, or wheels etc... If you phone after the holidays Green Air, (Lina or Andreas) they will help you.

I priced some Thermotec radiators in the UK where they are incredibly expensive!
In the end I chose strorage heaters made by Dimplex for my UK flat.
May be worth checking Thermotec costs in Cyprus.

The other end of the scale. For 19 years, we had electric storage heating complemented by air con. It was purgatory. Sure, the heat was there but never when you wanted it! The cost was reasonable to start with but in late years, it was very high. When the EAC announced the change of tariffs, storage heating costs would rocket. I took the bull by the horns and threw out all the storage heaters and replaced them with gas-fired central heating. Why the hell did I not do this earlier? The annual cost (not counting amortisation of the installation) works out at 35 to 40 percent of what I estimate the storage heating would have cost with the new tariff. The comfort level is now 500 percent better than with storage heating.

We are certainly glad that we have Gas central heating. And also glad that we opted for traditional ordinary radiators.. We had no need for the heating on last night and we have had it on for an hour earlier this morning.. Just over 21c in the house.. and 12c outside..

Would we consider the OP's message to be a 'thinly veiled' advert?
As Devil says, all normal electric heaters are 100% efficient no matter what exotic product they are filled with

I recommend that you have a look at Dominic's nice last blog: " 2018 in pictures " where you can find out on the last page that GreenAir Paphos is Platinum Advertiser ( the only platinum one so far ) not to mention the many banners from GreenAir on this forum.
Enjoy!

They sound similar to the old storage heaters that were available in the seventies which used cheap rate electricity.
