Gatwick Still Closed
Re: Gatwick Still Closed
Five Live radio had an expert on who has secured a prison on Guernsey - preventing drones from getting in. It’s possible. They can also receive the “take me home”GPS co-ordinates from any drone coming into their area.
Re: Gatwick Still Closed
I have seen drones at technology exhibitions, used for power line maintenance and line-of-sight checks for Microwave installs. Some are the size of a small trailer. Some have ‘flame-throwers’ to take away fallen branches etc. Off power lines. I am sure attack drones could be used..... Some can also emit a ‘pulse’ of EMF to disrupt the signal and causes a drone to land.
Re: Gatwick Still Closed
Very worrying that the Police, Army cannot block signals reaching this drone?

Re: Gatwick Still Closed
I think they have concentrated on trying to find the perpetrator, so haven't destroyed - used safety as reason for not shooting it out the sky - but a shotgun would be safe...

As I said in my previous post, the technology is there and has been demonstrated to the authorities. Just 2 units, each the size of a loaf of bread would be needed at Gatwick; but like I said, the authorities did not follow up and puchase. Bit like people who don't insure their house, then wail when they get flooded out and lose all their possessions. The guy who makes this kit was on News at 10 last night and demonstrated it's operation for the cameras.
