Cloud of despair weighs heavy on Pissouri home owners

For more than three years, the Sunday Mail has been reporting on the plight of homeowners on the Limnes estate in Pissouri who have seen their homes crumbling away as the result of a land slippage that first appeared in 2012....

Is there no insurance available for damages like these?

As it mentions in the article Landslip is not covered by insurance here ..

There are certainly lessons to be learnt from this. Surveys, insurance, etc.

Very sad though.

It’s horrendous what they are going through, not having Title Deeds is very small fish 🐟...........

Agree, it is horrendous what these people are going through and the worry and stress it is causing. Cyprus really does need to clean up its act as far as property is concerned.

As I understood it the insurance of that family didn´t cover it. I wonder whether other companies do? Where I´m from some companies do (for an extra fee, of course), others don´t.

I don't think you can get Landslip cover in Cyprus..
