Robert.
Would be good to hear of your experience when you it all finalized as we are working towards it next year especial the amount you require per month as you say there is no info on that.
Hope your start goes well.
Enjoy Neil
Will do Neil.
Just thinking about jeba's EUR800 comment a little more. Might be something in that even today. If you're applying for a third country category F migration permit you need to prove annual income of EUR9,568 (plus EUR4,623 for each dependent). That is almost exactly EUR800 per month. Still don't think I'll chance it as might only get one go at it before Brexit day...

The little place on Kennedy square! Been there for years! Two souvlaki in Pitta and a 500ml bottle of Retsina...less than €10...bliss...
That sounds mighty tempting as where I currently am it's currently 5 degrees and a basic lunch like that is going to run closer to £40. The South East rip-off.

As long as you do the legwork at the start, you biggest worry should be where the best souvlaki is rather than your MEU1 registration. Just do the bits that you have to do and it is out of your hands then.
We like these ones. We buy them and find a spot on the coast to eat them. Obviously, take your litter home with you though.

A wee bit of advice. We,ve been here for sixteen years and have,nt looked back, the main thing you will have to get used to is PATIENCE...….SIGA SIGA.....and I think most ex pats reading this will agree.

Agreed and it's one of the reasons we're moving to the Med. Once I have health insurance (family well being is important to me) and my MEU1 (want to be able to stay if we still like it after 12 months) sorted I'll have no problem with SIGA SIGA.
Going back to my previous email, when we first come here I had to go to the post office for some postage stamps.Entering,it was ever so busy but there was about four or five counters with one having a sign above it saying …….STAMPS..Being the smart guy I thought I was, this is the counter I decided to que...So far so good. When after patiently waiting for about ten minutes it was my turn and I asked for ten pounds worth of stamps for the UK.The lady said signomi and pointed to the next que.Mmmm,i had to do the obvious and pointed to the STAMP sign above her head....this was met with a very cute smile,a shrug, and the words...…….Siga Siga...Much to the amusement of an English chap who saw this,he grinned at me and said....Patience your in Cyprus.
I went in this post office a few days later and the preverble STAMP sign was still there at the same counter....Horror were do I que???????? Funny I know but that was my first lesson in patience here.

The same thing happens in Supermarkets.. You find the isle with the Tea and Coffee sign over it and yet there seems to neither of those items there.. You ask an assistant who promptly takes you another isle quite a bit further down the store.. Siga Siga, possibly with a Cyprus Shrug of the shoulders, ha ha..
Totally agree Trev! It's ok for the day to day stuff we buy most weeks, but heaven help us if it's summat out of the ordinary. Not that I would call them out of the ordinary, but took me ages to find small Heinz baked beans after the revamp. Imagine my joy when I collected the requisite beans on Friday to find that they at last had the 'no added sugar' small tins. Hallelujah!!
