Article did not tell us WHY Excavations come to an end... or did I miss something?

That is a useful link, thanks. We went to the museum in Nicosia a couple of months ago, where a lot of the relics recovered are on display.

Important relics are for sure at the museum in Nicosia. Actually they should be at the Paphos Museum
but after the scandal here (pieces disappeared and were sold on the black market, what our new Mayor found out)
they are scared to loose rare findings now... very very good small relics disappear anyhow at every excavation site!
