Marks and Spencer?

Post by MacManiac »

I thought Marks and Spencer delivered to Cyprus, but - according to their website - they don’t. My wife wants to buy various items from them but is currently not well enough to travel to their store in Paphos and I am not going to lurk in the women’s underwear department for obvious reasons. Am I mistaken about their international delivery?

I don't think they have ever delivered to Cyprus, I guess it would infringe the franchise of the stores here.

I have previously used RSS and also LHUKCY - you have items delivered to their UK addresses and they then ship over here. I believe both of them are now doing weekly shipments. You only pay on the size of the parcel, not the weight so when a lot of suppliers give free UK postage it works out very economical to do it that way.

Thanks for the feedback. I came across information from 2009 that listed Cyprus as a destination M & S delivered to but obviously no more.

Well, even stranger, I tried to order something from them and was blocked because I did not have a U.K. telephone number. I could not get any further with my order. Jolly frustrating.

There used to be a branch of NatWest down on the road near the Alymyra. It was in a funny little octagonal building which has since been demolished. It’s demise came when NatWest wanted to adopt standard all day banking hours and the powerful banking unions refused. It was bought out by Alpha Bank if my memory is correct.
