Add colour to a b&w photo

Does anyone know a simple way to change a b&w photo to colour ?

I know photo shop is the obvious choice , but it seams complicated .

This example is the street I was born on .

If you do it automatically, I would imagine the computer uses Artificial Intelligence to decide what colour goes where.

You can do it manually in photoshop, and it isn't complicated, just incredibly time-consuming.
