Went for a walk this evening, setting off two hours before sunset. After a trip to Nicosia yesterday where we escaped all the rain and shopping in Lidl and Alpha Mega this morning, it was late afternoon that I managed to get out.
The strong winds had brought in the dreaded seaweed and the hotel by Penelope's Church had cordoned off their beach. Lots of seaweed there floating in the water, some of it no doubt from last winter.
Some storm damage to the boat moorings but all the small boats and jetskis had been removed from the water.
The sea was still rough, red flags flying on all the lifeguard stations and no one in the sea.
What a dramatic change in the weather. Earlier in the week, temperatures of around 28c at this time of day, today just 19c with a strong wind blowing from the North West. However, lovely and clear, and the Troodos range could be clearly seen. The late afternoon after the storm

Re: The late afternoon after the storm
I walked from Riccos Beach to the harbour and back. Had a lovely latte at the kiosk and did a total of 5 miles. On the way back I was rewarded with a magnificent sunset.

Great pics John
I was in KP today, air felt fresh, temperature very pleasant, no pollution, my favourite time of the year.

Yes, good photos John. It was not much of a storm here John, bit windy but no real heavy rain or thunder. It was shot blast on the bench though

Jim.
