Robert Peston interview with Iain Dale on LBC.
A frank interview, in which Robert Peston states that…”Those who voted for Brexit and Trump were on the right side of an important argument, and on the right side of history”…
For Leavers, compulsory viewing, for Remainers, optional- and only if you can stomach the truth!
A very good watch. [10 minutes in length, with above quote at about 2.30.]

"this was the only opportunity millions of people were ever going to have to say to the people who run this place 'you are not listening to us'."
He's not saying that the concept of Brexit itself is good. He's saying it was a protest vote.
Most of the talk has nothing to do with Brexit. It is about the state of the UK. There is nothing in this talk that suggests that Brexit will improve anything for anybody. If you watch his other recent news reports, where he is not trying to plug a book, you will see that he himself paints a very negative picture of the future.

I watched it through and nothing earth shattering in it. I believe many people used the referendum as a protest vote against the establishment rather than the plus or minus of the EU.
What was relevant was his comments about bankers and the establishment protecting its own.

I think there is a relevance between the Bank Crash, Austerity and Brexit with many using their referendum vote to stick two fingers up at the establishment. Apart from a couple of Bankers losing their knighthood the rest went unpunished for a myriad of crimes and frauds and government's have done nothing apart from bail the banks out with tax payers money.
