In a country like Qatar rain is really looked at as a blessing, and very often the population including the Emir come together to pray for rain. What happened here three days ago was however too much of a blessing - in Doha it rained in one hour as much as during a whole year and then it went on for another four hours... With catastrophic consequences for some sadly.
