Foolish to leave anything of value in a car, but €50,000 is just plain stupid

There was a case in Larnaca, must be nearly thirty years ago, were a businessman gave his wife a big chunk of thousands to deposit in the bank, on route she stopped off do her shopping, and someone got into her car and nicked the lot, Police soon solved the case, her boyfriend did it, in collusion with her, the one good thing here in Cyprus is, the Police only need to speak to a couple of nosey neighbours to get a lead and crack the case.

Wonder how many more new betting shops will be opening? Fifty grand in a day's takings isn't bad going....

Slightly off-topic, but I've just got back from the US where I was most disappointed not to have won the Mega-Millions last week after buying 5 tickets. At the time it was an estimated $1 billion, but there was no Friday winner so it's now estimated at $1.6 billion. That's an obscene amount of money......

The winner could always help out a few charities, if they think its too much?.

You think they would have learned about these things by now, wouldn't you?
I'm sure the real story will follow soon enough...
Either somebody knows her movements if the lady takes the money on a regular basis or somebody was tipped off it was a biggie week, is what my gut says.
