So...Sky Data poll suggests 56% think Brexit will be worse than expected

They act positively if they agree with the poll and negatively if they don't agree with it,...It aint rocket science.

Regardless of what happens, referendums cause enormous conflict, family against family, friend against friend.

Referendums should be banned. We vote for politicians to stand by their manifestos, parties should be elected on the basis of these manifestos.

The Scottish referendum on independence has caused major issues, once again splitting families and friendships.

Unfortunately, that doesn't support his particular point of view …………… or others for that matter!

I wouldn't expect the BHC to say anything else; at the end of the day he has to toe the party line whether he believes it or not.

Glass half empty springs to mind and whether "he" believes or not is irrelevant!

I am in the UK at the moment and have been for some time in various parts of the UK and whilst I admit that I have not socialised with 1000 people plus,I have spoken to many and every single person, every single one,no matter what they voted for, just wants the Government and the EU to "get on with it"!
Not one person has said they want a people's vote or a 2nd ref.

The BHC is simply a civil servant, doing what he’s told and no more informed than anyone else in the government. I dont think there will be another referendum, but I can easily see parliament voting down a deal. I can also see a general election very soon. Just my opinion, much like the BHC’s:shock:

No, he was stating a fact: there will not be another referendum. He wasn't saying he wished there would be, or wished there wouldn't be. He didn't give his opinion on that. He was stating a simple fact.

The fact is May said there wouldn't be another referendum and the BHC is quoting the government's present position but that's not to say that the government or Parliament will not change their position after this months meeting with the EU or the subsequent Parliamentry vote on any proposed agreement between they EU and UK.

Watch my lips Jim B.
There will not be another referendum!
Maybe as you are in Cyprus you don't quite appreciate the strength of feeling here in the UK which I can assure you is very real

THERE WILL NOT BE ANOTHER REFERENDUM!!

As an aside I have just returned from a Hospital appointment and my new consultant has just arrived from Italy and very happy to be here. He told me that his colleague in the next room had also recently arrived from Greece so it seems EU nationals are still arriving in the NHS.

Jim B, look how long the first referendum took to get organised. Now look at the Brexit date. Do the maths.

The EU has stated that if there is a decision to have a "Peoples Vote" (or second referendum) they are prepared to postpone the Brexit leave date to accommodate it; no maths involved.

It must be the circles you move in but the many people I know are amongst millions pushing hard for a second vote. Remember, "it ain't over till the fat lady sings"; and there's still a long way to go. There's still a lot of twists and turns in the road ahead.
