May says EU immigrants will lose priority status after Brexit
Highly skilled migrants to be favoured as free movement ends ‘once and for all’
EU citizens will no longer be given priority to live and work in Britain in a radical overhaul of immigration policy after Brexit, Theresa May has said, admitting Britons may in turn have to apply for US-style visas to visit and work in Europe.

Re: May says EU immigrants will lose priority status after Brexit
Its a pity that whilst she was Home Secretary she didn't take the steps available to her under EU procedures to reduce the number of EU immigrants being able to claim benefits to the target levels that were advertised. If she had done then maybe we would not be in this Brexit mess that we are in now. She obviously wasn't fit for purpose as Home Secretary and is even less so as Prime Minister. Problem is who could replace her as an effective PM, certainly not that buffoon Boris Johnson

These negotiations have got to go down as one of the most shambolic cases of Government ''Aint got a clue'' in the History of Britain, Fred Karno come back your country needs you.
Re: May says EU immigrants will lose priority status after Brexit
Surely the principal of free movement was part of the remit of the European Economic Community which we became a member of in 1973. Free trade and free movement of the citizens of the member States. Nothing about the Europan Union with all its powers to ride roughshod over member States, which the EEC morphed into as the lies and deceipt of politicians was found out, too late. If the vote had been to leave the EEC as it should have stayed, I would have voted No, because IMHO the EEC was a good thing. Still, politicians morphed the EEC into the EU without a by your leave and leaving is a good thing.

I would imagine that only a minority of brexiters are pro free movement.
