Paphos accept applications for Carnival 2017



The Paphos municipality encourages the residents of the city to take part in the annual carnival celebration. This year, the topic is connected with the status of Paphos and it is defined as :”Queen of Culture – the journey begins”.

2/3 of the permanent participating teams already filed their applications, however anyone can still file theirs by describing the details of their intended installation. The only requirement is to the number of participants- there must be at least 20 in each group.

The festivities will commence on the 16th of February and will last for 10 days. The final parade will take place on 25th of February

Saturday February 25 at 3.00 pm, will be held on Poseidonos Avenue, Kato Paphos, Great Carnival Parade floats and groups, with the participation of dozens of floats and groups, hundreds of carnival, the Band of the Municipality of Paphos, cheerleader and Serenaders Musical Paphos Group.

Presenters of the Parade: Michael Sophocles and Alexia Anastasiou.

Starting Parade Hotel "Almyra" and exit the Car Park of the Archaeological Park.

The Municipality of Pafos invites the public to embrace the events of "Pafitis Carnival" massively paying this and thus contributing to their success.
