I thought it was very decent of Amazon/DHL to let me know, as it's
only the second time I've ordered from Amazon.

I had a delivery today from Amazon DE. It came via DHL.. I had a phone call this morning to say the delivery van was in the village and where was our house.
I went into the village to meet the driver and it was an Akis Express van delivering the parcel.. Good service, as I have no problems driving into the village.

Whilst I was with the delivery driver a little ACS van drove past..
When I got home I had a phone call from ACS Polis Road to say there was a parcel for me to collect.
I duly drove down to Paphos and collected the parcel from the Polis Road office. Whilst there I asked why they didn't deliver it to Polemi? Out of the delivery area I was told... I said to them that I had just seen the ACS delivery van in Polemi.... I just got the Cyprus shrug..
Nothing changes :-(

I had a large item weighing 25kg lost by DHL. They didn't inform my supplier. After 4 weeks of waiting I contacted my supplier and they investigated. DHL knew it was lost but hadn't informed them. The supplier got a refund. They replaced it via post office parcel which arrived fairly quickly. The downside was I couldn't collect on my own because of the weight. DHL delivered to the door. A kind neighbour came with me and carried it. DHL are usually excellent, but I have to wonder how they can lose something that heavy and fairly large.

Do not agree that DHL is very good, very poor would be more appropriate, I use regularly Amazon UK and Amazon De, the German senders use UPS who unlike DHL deliver to your door, you do not have to go to ACS to pick parcels up, after all DHL are paid to deliver but ACS the agents usually have never delivered to my home, parking near the Law Courts can also be difficult to say the least, there is an all, as [posted recently a New ASC office on the Messogi Rd that is more convenient for many as parking is a lot easier, the ACS will inform you at what office your item will be available to collect.

ACS have a new shop on the Mesogi road next to Cycleband. I received a parcel yesterday from DHL, the Post Office sent me a text to say it had arrived. I have included my mobile number in my delivery address and always get notified either with a call or a text from the couriers.

Just a little confusing Jim B. The post office have nothing to do with ACS. So I assume you collected you parcel from Anavargos

That's right Trev. Although I ordered the package from Amazon UK it came from Germany and the postal service appears to either use or is operated by DHL. As the package was several days late I contacted DHL and the lady there informed me after I gave her the shipping number to check with Anavargas.

Usually Anavargos send you a text to tell you a parcel is there to collect. But the last parcel we were waiting for we never received one. But the parcel was there when we called in.
As far as I can remember re DHL parcels, if it has 12 digits is via Post office, and 10 digits it is via the courier.

They do send you a text if you have a parcel or post to pick up that they will not deliver or like for me last week to pay customs!.

The all-new ACS office is an all-new venture, I certainly hope they start to do what they are paid to do, deliver to your door, so far nothing has come to them for me, in fact for the last week or more we have not had any post from the main PO, they say staff are on holiday.
