Many times I can find interesting things when I am out on a trip around Paphos.

Thank you Dominik, the photo was there first and then vanished suddenly into a link.
What do you mean with scared? It is millions of years old. Found some more in an volcanic chimney
north of Marathounta and is called petrified wood. Interesting link for that...

You can also find fossils. Sometimes among pebbles on a beach or otherwise in some of the cliffs. This is an area with so much history, browsing on the internet will yield lots of interesting information. Archaeological sites, abandoned villages,hidden inland valleys...
