Fixed now. Thanks for letting me know. It was the old number at the start of the title bug. I really need to get that fixed.

How many of these "reported" drivers have been charged with a motoring offense?

MM, reported means the driver(s) have had a fixed penalty ticket or a report will be submitted with a view of the alleged offender getting a summons.

Charged means that a person has been arrested and a charge read out to them at the Police Station and then either straight to court or bailed to appear at court at a later date.

However over 6000 vehicles stopped and offences detected in two weeks is impressive and managing to get a 1% drink drive detection return is good.

They could catch about 500 a day on my road, if they'd only show up when I have suggested it!

From https://cyprus-mail.com/2018/07/22/poli ... -offences/

Police will launch a week-long clampdown on speeding and other serious traffic offences from Monday, they announced

“Excessive speed is the third most common cause of fatal accidents,” the force said in an announcement on Sunday.

“Driving at high speed is an act of negligence and lack of consciousness for the life of both the driver and other road users.”
In order to raise public awareness and reduce speeding as much as possible this problem, the police will carry out their 6th islandwide campaign from Monday until July 29, they said.

During the campaign, checks will also be carried out for other road traffic offences.

“Emphasis will also be placed on those driving under the influence of alcohol, the use of a safety belt or a helmet and using mobile phones.”
