Re Russia: yes the media transmit what seems a perfect World Cup. The trouble is that we never get to see what Putin et al does not want us to see. It is likely the heaviest censored World Cup to date.

Al Jazeera showed some unsavoury episodes that never made it into the main stream outlets. I am wondering whether they will do the same in 4 years too?!

What sort of unsavoury episodes?

Are they any different from the lack of media UK coverage of the protests about Tommy Robinson a couple of months ago? I mean, the man fully deserves to be banged up, but I was surprised at how little coverage there was.
