The News Section

Do we need a separate news section? I am happy to merge it with General Discussions if people prefer that. I will still autogenerate news items to be shared on the main site and the forum, and duplicate threads will still be merged or deleted, but it will all happen in the General Discussions.

As news items are by their nature current, it seems putting them in the general section seems sensible.

Ok, will unless something big happens in this poll tonight I will implement this in the morning. I would say it is fairly conclusive so far.

I also agree with the views already expressed. I tend to read the Gen Discussion page first anyway, especially if busy. Putting news items on it is a good idea. But the caveat is that these items shoukd be relevant to living here.

Different end result to what I expected, Dom..

I thought that the "Paphos News" section was being moved into "General", still containing it's sub news items. But the sub-items themselves have been diverted to General, as standalone topics.

A bit messy, IMHO... AL
