Playing with my camera 2 (pics)

Post by cyprusmax47 »

These days I tried to find what the limits are for close ups with my camera, specially at night....

Flowers of the caper bush last only 1 day and they open only at night

Here one can see yesterdays flower

Lovely pics, but I'm puzzled. Caper flowers do flower in the day.

Here's one I prepared earlier. :)

Caper flowers, as to my knowledge, open in the night and early morning and fade after midday. I wonder if yours behave different? :)

Once again stunning pictures from you and the Caper flower in particular is really beautiful just a pity it only lives for a day but then nature has its own programmes. So thank you so much for sharing with us both the picture and the information.

Dominic your picture too is excellent.

Thank you both

Have to say, photographing it in the night makes it look so much more impressive though.

Excellent photographic work, Max and Dom! And thanks for sharing...

I wonder if the bees run a night shift rota, to collect the pollen from the capers?

Pollination is also by insects, which many are active at night...
