scrapping a car

looking for some help
a friend wishes to scrap his car we're in the Polis area and can't find any scrap merchants in the area
we rang someone in paphos area and he said it was too far to come, many thanks in advance

I don't know where, but be aware that before you scrap, the road tax needs to be brought up to date.

There are some scrap yards on the back road of Tremithousa, but (a) they may be ones you have already tried and (b) if not, they may well give the same answer as the ones you have tried.

So not much use I'm afraid, but I would add that you need to ensure the scrap yard you eventually find sends a certified document of the scrapping to the Transport Department on the Polis road, otherwise the road tax will keep clocking up. This happened to my neighbour as he didn't follow it up.

There is a scrap yard just outside of Agarka, not too far away from you. East from the village centre, about 1-2 km
