Touch wood! Reds...
I hope "Kloppo" is motivating his quad enough to beat Madrid tonight. Three month ago I was betting that the Reds play FC Bayern in the final, but I was 50% wrong...Can't wait to hear: "You'll Never Walk Alone"....

Re: Touch wood! Reds...
Decisive for the "blackout", how the press calls it, was the dirty foul from Ramos in minute 49, just 3 minutes before that happened. It was a clear red card after the elbow check against the German goalie's head. Further, Ramos should have received at least a yellow card after the nasty foul against Salah, the key situation in that match. Before that the Reds were dominating,
Except the nice goal from Bale the performance of Real was not exciting. Where was Ronaldo?

Liverpool losing in the CL final makes you happy? Wow, how sad. As to their luck, it's called skill not luck and they're doing quite well with Klopp.
Re: Touch wood! Reds...
I never did understand the mentality of some "football supporters". They care less about football and more about mindlessly following the image of a club which bears no similarity to real life. If you cannot appreciate good football regardless of who kicks the ball, you are not a football fan. You are a groupie.

Totally agree Dominic. I do not hate anyone anymore, even Everton and Man Utd. Life is too short. I remember as a child watching Man Utd win the European Cup and we all of our family wanted United to win. Why? They were a British club and managed by a former Liverpool player.

I am, first and foremost, a Stoke City fan. Is that "following an image"? It's my local team which I've followed through thick and (mainly) thin for all my life.
I follow football quite a lot, but hate the way that the way the game is going. So much nonsense about the "big" clubs and not a thought to the rest.
My team have been in the Premier League for ten years, but sadly just 'making up the numbers' to provide opposition.

Of course I appreciate 'good football' but also despise all the cheating and media nonsense that surrounds the game nowardays.

No, I'm referring to a UK fan of a UK team A being pleased that a UK team B has been knocked out of an international competition.
Besides, I support Lincoln City. Your thin beats our thickest thick.

Re: Touch wood! Reds...
Finally confirmation also in the English press now that a nasty foul from Ramos was leading to a an cerebral concussion. In the German press one could see videos from the incident and for me there was no wonder that the Liverpool goalkeeper Karius had this two blackouts. (I mentioned it already in my previous post... lucky, lucky Real....

If any of of you had the misfortune to walk around liverpool, during the run up to the said final weekend, and been subjected to the foul behaviour in and around the city center of their so called fans, then you would understand why they are the most disliked club in the country.
Im an Everton fan, and can say as a football fan, the football Man City played this year was a joy to watch ! And Inwas so happy they won the league, they really deserved it !
As fo Liverpool, The fans, They violently attack the man city coach, and its swept under the carpet.
The sky brigade are infiltrated by there ex players with there one sided opinions !
I agree with JB Sky have runied football completely, the money is obscene, with the scumbag agents and prima donnas they represent.
An example for you
Andy Gray & Richard Keys - make an off the cuff remark about a lady linesman - Sacked
Rodney Marsh - an inapproriate remark on air - Sacked
Ron Atkinson- racial remark - Sacked
All righly sacked in my humble opinion.
Jamie Carragher - reacts to banter with a man and his teenage daughter, and spits in the face of the daughter - And hes suspended !
I will guarantee that the filthy retrobate will be back on sky sports screens in August
Luis Saurez Racially abuses a fellow professional, and the whole of Liverpool FC wear t-shirts supporting him !
Just a few reasons why Liverpool are not a well liked team !
Liverpool FC - Offended By Everythjng - Ashamed Of Nothing !
Never mind The Liverpool fans have started a petition to get Ramos suspended by UEFA, because they Lost, Ramos is a dirty dirty player, but he is the best center half in the world, if you watch the incident where he catches Karius with his elbow, you will plainly see that he is pushed in the back by Dejan Lovren the Liverpool center half, but tht doesnt suit the hard luck story for sky.
I really feel for Karius being an ex goalkeeper, its the most lonely place in the world when you make a mistake.

Re: Touch wood! Reds...
As a Stockport County fan and somebody with very little interest in the Premiership/Champions League, I must admit, even I get fed up with the fact that Liverpool and their fans always seem to be 'media darlings'. It is clear in my mind, that their fans trashing of the City coach affected the outcome of the first leg and they got to the final by default.......so there was an element of Karma about the way the final turned out.
Although we now understand that instead of the Liverpool keeper having a bit of a nightmare, he was in fact suffering from concussion due his clash with Ramos..............so no doubt there will be campaign started to get the match replayed !!!

Well covered in all news outlets, and dealt with by the police and UEFA, can you explain how exactly that was swept under the carpet?

What has that to do with LFC, are they in charge at Sky? Your apparent hatred of all things Liverpool FC is rather clouding your judgment.
Luis Saurez Racially abuses a fellow professional, and the whole of Liverpool FC wear t-shirts supporting him !Whole of Liverpool, really? Now you are becoming ridiculous and exaggerating to the point of laughable, haver you anything to back up that ridiculous assertion?
Just a few reasons why Liverpool are not a well liked team !

IMO, anyone who starts a football topic on a general discussion forum is opening themselves up to a lot of trouble, even abuse.
Again, IMO, I think football topic belong on football forums.
