MSU tests
MOH has to provide an MSU before seeing the Nephrologist next week. Can anyone tell us the procedure. He just said provide it on the morning. We have a couple of yellow slips attached to one you get for a blood test. Do we hand in the said specimens to the dragon lady at blood registration or take them to his office? TIA.

MSU is Mid Stream Urine
Start passing urine, then put some into the specimen jar then finish urinating.
The idea is the the first part of urinating clears the urethra and then the bit that goes in the specimen jar is not contaminated by anything int he urethra.
Pee - stop - pee in bottle - stop - finish urinating.

Hand the urine specimen to the dragon lady at the same time that you hand the papers over to her to get the bottles for your blood tests.
