Have you investigated Saga - I think this is only available to UK residents though.

We use Staysure to include medical conditions

We did use staysure too until my husband had cancer then that plus his other conditions meant that they refused to insure him.It was annoying because he had been given the all clear but in insurance terms they take cancer into account for 5 years. They all appear to have a system that uses points for every declared condition and if the total exceeds a certain amount then they refuse cover.

We used staysure but because of husbands age and medical conditions they would not insure him. We are now insured with Citybond Suretravel on a year round policy. We live permanently in Cyprus.
