If no one comes up with a local supplier. Amazon used to send it our here. But I imagine that would be an expensive way..

We used upholstery cleaner out of a spray can and it was better than the Vax.

Our last 'carpet cleaner' was actually the guy that nPower sent out to conduct the bi-yearly Gas Meter safety check (Lowry-Beck). After spending all of two minutes doing that task, he then went on to explain that our carpets looked a bit sad, and that he had a sideline biz of carpet cleaning.

The particular areas he spotted were yellow patches (on a dark green quality Scotchguard carpet) where our poor old westie Max (RIP) couldn't wait any longer for a pee... The guy claimed his machine would lift these stains and return our carpet to 'as new' condition.

We went with his £60 cash quote and he duly returned a couple of days later, spending an hour on the job. Next day, we were devastated to see that not only had his kit NOT removed the pee stains in our diner and lounge, but had also introduced another large stain area, right in the middle of the lounge, where his steam cleaner machine had been sitting!!!

Caveat- Beware of carpet cleaners... AL :( :x

I think I have seen it in a supermarket somewhere. Perhaps premier electrical stock it because they import machines, also could try superglue or home market. I have definitely seen it somewhere. I have a gas but brought plenty over from Uk.

You should visit Amazon or Ali Express, you can buy here what you want at reasonable price.

I use a Vax carpet cleaner, I use a local brand of chemicals from One Stop DIY it worked OK, was half the price of online Vax products, our rugs look good, in fact just done them and put away for next winter. This will be the third year of using local cleaning products in the Vax. Just my opinion, Lloyd looks to be THE expert. :)

My Vax is only a hot water system not a steam cleaner type although its mechanism is electric of course.

Just one thing roll the rugs or carpet with the pattern on the outside, when you come to put them back down they are flat, not curled up at the edges. (my experience)

Really Trev?, it was meant to be light-hearted. :D 70c would melt my rugs.

This would bring the colour back!

The 70 Celsius to Fahrenheit formula is: [°F] = ([70] x 9 ⁄ 5) + 32. Therefore, we get:

70 C to F = 158 °F
70 °C to °F = 158 Fahrenheit
70 C in F = 158 degrees Fahrenheit
70 degrees Celsius to Fahrenheit = 158 Fahrenheit

Maybe HIC is wrong with his 70. C then . Without looking at our Vax machine instructions I think it just says use Warm Water. :-)
