We are trying to find preserving sugar that's not Jam making sugar, neither Phillopos, Paps or the new ex Carrefour has any, ideas please.

Ppreserving sugar which her in doors says is different to Jam Making Sugar and she says the presevIng sugar keeps the jam better. I hope that makes sense.
You used to be able to buy it from Philppos, but he now only has Jam Making Sugar.

We just use the jam making sugar, which has added pectin which sets the jam quicker, so that you do not have to boil it as much.Therefore, the colour is better and not as dark. Here in Cyprus, we keep all our home made jams in the fridge, which stops them going winey. We are still eating apricot jam that is two years old, and last years strawberry jam.
