Wow! A white knuckle drive, or WHAT? Especially where you overtake the twin cab, between his vehicle and the cliff edge... Thanks for sharing, Dom! Good to see so many walkers out too, enjoying what surely must be the best coastal panorama in the whole of Cyprus!

Did the same route back in Oct 2003 in George's Daihatsu 4x4 jeep, but in the opposite direction. Must say I felt a bit safer and more secure with the hillside by my drivers door, rather than the cliff edge, LOL!

Watching your video Dominic, I must say that this track looks much less dangerous nowadays than in the early 80th when it was an adventure to drive there. On the other hand you have a large 4x4 where you sit high up, not like me in the past going there with a Mini Moke all open, just with an canvas on top and one could touch the ground if you wanted. I remember one episode when we stopped on a nice viewing point, very high up on this road which was tilted quite a lot towards the drop. My passenger wanted to do a photo from the dramatic scenery and jumped out of the car (no doors of course) but soon his weight (was a lot) was not there anymore the car started slowly to overturn and it was a sharp ascent of ca 150 m straight to the sea.... I was screaming: back in, back in quick quick....and the car which was leaning already on 2 wheels came back to it's normal position. I did not need any photo from this point but a double whiskey to continue the journey to the Blue Lagoon which we had for ourselves of course in the 80th.

My ace driving makes it look easier than it is. :)

The track is still very, very bumpy. Wait until the next clip though if you want to see some real bumps, minus the cliff mind.

Somebody posted this on the Facebook page. No idea if it is true or not, but the route didn't strike me as any trickier than when we first went up.

"I've done this track many times over the last 12years but last year it got so dangerous that even the safari land rovers don't do it anymore, the views are stunning and I would be quite happy to do it again but sadly now it's not for the faint hearted"

Loved watching that Dominic. Thank you

I was going to say that the road looked pretty good and better than I had expected hearing some of the reports. Considering how few times you had to really slow up anyway. Obviously a passenger would get a lot more shaken up than the driver of course.

It will go back on my 'to do' list :)
