Limassol Port problems

Post by geoffreys »

The problems at Limassol port resulting from the privatization is causing huge delays. Reports are that only 100 containers a day
are being cleared cf. the usual 600.
Our local LIDL seems to be suffering as a result - many items not available now e.g. low fat yoghurts.
I hope they get this sorted out PDQ, or imported foods and booze will get impossible to buy.
Geoff.

Low fat yogurt, Geoff? Are you telling us you're on a diet?

Life goes on, none of us will starve, plenty of home produced food in Cyprus

Anyway, I thought you said you bought your booze in the North?
I only drink beer and wine which is much cheaper in the south, where I buy it.
Some spirits are cheaper in the "north" so on another forum I posted the price (of whisky) for those interested.
Regards Yogurt - my wife likes it and buys it at LIDL; I'm not keen on it.
