After years of reading Cyprus forums as a guest, (especially CL and one or two others), myself and Mrs David finally moved to the Polis area five weeks ago. The information we gleaned and used to make the move as smooth as possible was entirely due to the generosity and sagacity of forum members. Whenever we needed an answer to anything that cropped up, where do you get the best logs? (Thank you Lloyd), who is the best for Internet?'(Thank you Cyta). What the...
are they doing to the harbour, (Thank you.Trevnhil), you.get the picture. An amazing community that we wished we had joined years ago and would hate for that to disappear now.
So happy that someone had the determination to shoulder the responsibility and just hope that if a newbie can be galvanised by Jim and Bazz's shock news to get on board then all the usual suspects are already chomping at the.bit.
Hello, is there anybody there?
New to this but strangely familiar.

We moved to Polemi ourselves in August this year. My wife found CL and other forums very useful when she was investigating, so I am more than happy to help keep things going.

Well done for starting this forum. Do we know you? Were you at any of the recent election meetings, or not in Polemi long enough to register to vote!
We hope you are getting along with the locals, they are a very kind lot, but don't all speak English. You can expect free gifts of eggs, fruit and vegetables once they get to know you.
Please say hello if you see us - we have the beige double cab with the witch on the sides.

Hi Dave! I was at Nick's gathering. I was the one who said he helped when our car needed fixing.
We've already had lots (LOTS) of grapes, and fruit. Once an old man knocked on our door and gave us a hot pudding in tin foil that was lovely. If you see a very muddy white Pajero that may well be me. My wife drives a more sedate BMW.
Incidently, I appreciated the information I saw you post on another forum about solar panels. We found it very useful.
