TV / Monitor Sizes
Re: TV / Monitor Sizes
I'm for a screen that is commensurate with your viewing distance. Extremes: 50+" when you're sitting a metre away or 15" when you're 4 metres away. We have 32" TV and sit at a comfortable 2½ m from it, perfect. A 42" screen would dominate the room. For computers, I have 4 21", seated at 60 cm, a 19" and a 15", but the latter two screens are not general purpose.
Re: TV / Monitor Sizes
The one setup I can't fathom is developers who have three screens. I understand that, but it is when one of the screens is devoted to social media. So it will be a screen consisting of Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, Google+ etc.
How on Earth do they concentrate on getting any work done with all that noise? I've never really got on with Twitter, because I always find threads about a day old, and there is no point replying as the conversation will have moved on by then anyway.
