Doubt it..... it took lidl many years to set up here, mainly a distribution center had to be built followed by building stores, so I can’t see it happening any time soon.

I'm booked for Paphos next Feb, 2019. I bet Aldi will be firmly established in Cyprus by then...
AL
Cant see it Al,Cyprus is a small place and nothing is kept secret, it would take them a few years to source, land build a distribution center and build stores.
There were rumours going around in 2010 that Aldi were opening a store in Protaras ................ not seen anything materialise yet though but I guess 8 years is not that long a wait in "Cyprus time"!
Not the Same, Rumours that Tesco would be opening their own stores on Island, over in the east we have supermarkets selling Waitrose produce, so does that mean we have Waitrose stores here?
Lidl have been in Greece for years, and, as far as I know, Aldi have not followed them. We are friendly with a Greek family in Rochdale, and they told us that Lidl is not popular amongst the Greeks and, even though families are struggling, they would rather shop at Greek owned shops.
