UK TV - anyone watch Room 101 series?

Post by PhotoLady »

The new Room 100 TV series starts this evening.....

It's not a programme we've ever watched but a couple of months ago I was contacted by the production company of the TV series to ask if they could use one of my photos in their show.

After a few emails back and forth for me to understand the gist of it and what they wanted, how they found my photo etc, I agreed to it being used. They then informed me they would pay me the princely sum of £150 as long as the photo didn't end up on the cutting room floor :o

Anyway, I got the email late last week to tell me the photo had actually been used in the recording of the show and sure enough, the dosh went into my account today.

So, if you watch it - please keep an eye open for my photo in the episode which features the following people: Joe Lycett / Ricky Wilson / Zoe Lyons (I only know who Ricky Wilson is).... it's possibly the 4th episode (first Friday in February) but I've been informed they may sometimes switch the schedules around.

It's a photo that I took back in 2012 when we did our last Nile cruise with friends....

That program always annoyed me because it completely bastardised what Room 101 was all about in 1984.

However, £150 is £150!

Thanks Kevin!

Dom, I never watched it mainly because it's mostly comedians who feature as celebrities. However, I am a fan of Ricky Wilson which will make the viewing a little easier on the eye for me, anyway ;-)

I read 1984 donkeys years ago - I remember very little of it..... but my husband did tell me that the "bloke" in my photo does have a look of Frank Skinner. Apparently, when the TV scout showed Frank Skinner my photo - the scout said he laughed out loud at it....

Should be a giggle :-)

My photo will be featured in this episode: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08dwvxj (to be shown on Friday 10 February)

No idea how it will be featured or indeed, how long it will be shown for - so don't blink if you're watching!

Brilliant, you must be thrilled! I've watched the show occasionally, last one I saw was with Catherine Tate, very funny, and Rhylan Clark ( not sure of his name) who came across as ghastly and would be a great candidate to go into Room 101 as opposed to being a guest!

We shall see, Jim - I've never watched it before but I shall have to watch this one, just out of natural curiosity....

Didn't watch the whole programme as we were watching something else - luckily, the bit about towels was at the start of the programme.
