Seaweed
Seaweed
I believe seaweed was discussed quite recently in another topic. It was considered by a lot of people not viable to use it to make fertiliser. Some enterprising students think differently. http://cyprus-mail.com/2018/03/20/stude ... r-seaweed/
Re: Seaweed
Hope so, Lloyd, I really do.. When you think about how seaweed is used for human food around the world, it must have something going for it, in terms of protein and nutriments, eh?
If not for human consumption, then at least for the agriculture in Cyprus!

Re: Seaweed
Also 'Seaweed' is one of the ' Biotanicals ' that they put in some Gin [ Harris for example ], another big market. I saw a programme on the TV that pointed out that there were so many different types of seaweed that just saying 'Seaweed ' was like saying there was only one vegetable. So many types, so many uses, I would have thought.

Re: Seaweed
Yes you are right, I enjoyed crispy seaweed many times in fine restaurants in the past when living in Switzerland and Italy. Interesting article of the health benefits : https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/howto/guide ... ts-seaweedAargent wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:10 am Also 'Seaweed' is one of the ' Biotanicals ' that they put in some Gin [ Harris for example ], another big market. Re: Seaweed
They don't serve seaweed on Yeroskipou's beach tavern yet

There is a nice link WHERE and how they collect seaweed for different food... https://www.maris-algen.de/maris-home-engl
