Teelvisiion from SOS

Post by Aargent »

For the last couple of hours we have had no signal from the TV supplier we get through SOS.

This is not the one we used to have but the " not so good one " we eventually transferred to after the last two week [ or so] lack of programs. Are we the only ones or has there been another raid by the Authorities. This always seems to happen just after Ive paid.

We also have Clear Stream and we are getting that fine, on two boxes so it isn't the IS that is at fault.

On a slightly different note, with this new supplier we sometimes get what I believe is called " Audio Description" which is for the visually impaired. It appears to be random, is anyone else getting this? Can I remove it ?

Had no problems either but funnily enough on our stream England won! ;)

Why don't you try asking at the shop?

All very well but if something goes wrong after 1.00pm on Saturday, as it did, I would have to wait till 9.00am on Monday to contact the shop and I was hoping for a quick answer from the Techie members on here.

Just had a message from a friend who is with the Swiss Supplier that was recommended by Computer SOS to check if she had any problems over the past few days and she tells me that they have had no problems at all since subscribing to it in January and it is continually updating and expanding its services. If there is a problem there is a phone number which is available 24/7.

You can contact Brian at SOS by sending a TEXT message ONLY to him on his mobile after hours and he will get back to you and sort things out. Do not phone.

Happy in Cyprus wrote: Sun Mar 11, 2018 5:21 pm But why trouble Brian when I have given two solutions above which could be tried first? I fixed the problem when I had it on my TV and I'm not a techie...so it's hardly rocket science.
There is an AD setting in the sound menu, but the remote will not highlight it. Anyway it is off. I will just have to wait and see if it ever surfaces again.
