Just noticed that my neighbour has got a new "N" Plate car. Must pop down to the showroom tomorrow to change our "M" Plate car to keep up with them.
Will you be getting a new "N" Plate vehicle anytime soon?

Nope. Quite happy with my new M plate - particularly as it was a last and lasting present from my late husband

Surely the way the system works [first registered in Cyprus ] " N " doesn't mean that the car is new.

Correct, it just starts the next alpha sequence of number plates as MZZ999 has been issued. Any vehicle registered now, be it new, old or imported, will get an "N" plate!

Oh dear now I really feel left out, have only got a "K" plate which I found out late last year at MOT time that it was older than I thought. still not to worry I had a new plate made up as the old one had faded and now its the best and shiniest part of the car. As it is only used for visits during the warmer summer days I will have to be careful who I park next to.

Strange Mike that you found your car older than you thought. The date of registration is on the log book.. I hope it was not too much different than you thought

This also happened to our friends, the car was imported from somewhere strange and bucked the system.
Sold as seen.

Also K registration plate and the car will be 17 years old soon and no intention of trading it in.
