Is Trump mentally ill?

Whatever your political persuasion, defend your corner here. All we ask is that you voice YOUR opinion, rather than just post a link to a half-hour youtube video. Politics can get a bit lively, and if you prefer a less combative debate, please post in the Politics for Moderates section instead.

I am genuinely embarrassed to have ever been involved or associated with such a bunch of hysterical fish wives as have been seen on this forum on this topic  I'll now leave you all to get on with it

I'm sorry you aren't going to post on here. Your comments were interesting, I didn't agree with everything you posted but it certainly made for a lively debate! Sadly now I guess we will be left with Remainers telling us how bad things are going to get at some unspecified time.

First we were all ... petty ..stupid ..halfwits and now we are fish wives.

Well - I for one will not be missing the intellectual input of Conoflex.

Could I please make a request for all contributors to this forum to avoid personal insults of this type, and stick instead to intelligent and intellectual argument. It is much more pleasing and satisfying for all civilized human beings.

Also, might I add
1. Half-wit is hyphenated. And
2. Fishwives is one word, not two.

And finally, a quote from wikipedia, for us women, "fishwives"...

Fishwives in fishing villages such as Cullercoats and Newhaven were noted for their beauty, hardiness and industry and were celebrated by artists and royalty.

Don't forget "hysterical".

And it has been, in more ways than one :-)

I can quite understand why most of you are happy at Conoflex’s departure, he was able to give factual, argumentative replies to the drivel that a lot of you post, anyone giving rational argument to your liberal, leftie views is, automatically, an enemy. The majority of you will not be happy until all his sort are banished and you can all sit down, hold hands and all agree with each other like the tossers you are. Why not start a forum for Leftie Luvvies only, you can then all take warm showers together and congratulate each other on what elitists you all think you are, what pathetic tw#ts.

I am gobsmacked he has left. I agree AND disagree with you political lot on a regular basis (without posting) but, I am genuinely surprised that somebody has ruffled his feathers that much!

Dominic. Thankyou for our Politics lighter section.

Gladiator - the bloodiest scene comes to mind!!!

Who's the guilty one then?

Oops more name calling...

I've always believed those who resort to personal insults have lost the arguement...

It appears some are departing because they don't agree with opposing views....

Anyway it sorts the wood from the chaff.

Sadly I don't think it does sort wheat from chaff. I found his posts interesting and thought provoking and I do think his departure is a loss to this site. Sniping about him now that he's gone, and name calling on both sides does nobody any favours, not you I hasten to add. It merely serves to make people look childish and petty.

Not surprised Trump hung up on Turnbull.
Turnbull was trying to get the USA to accept immigrants that Australia had barred!

You said it Lloyd, it was Obama that agreed it. Trump has a mandate on which he was legally elected, all he's doing is sticking to it and keeping his promise, something UK politicians should learn from.

Happy in Cyprus wrote: Thu Feb 02, 2017 6:25 pm OK, so if you buy something from my company, it fails, I agree to replace it or refund, overnight a new managing director takes over who doesn't agree with my sense of fair play, refuses to honour the pledge given to you by me...is that fair?

Whatever Trump may decide to do with regard to further immigration will be determined by his election pledges; but a deal made historically should be honoured.
Why should it? Surely you aren't suggesting that the policy decisions of a previous govt. or administration should be necessarily carried on by the next one to be voted in? What would be the point of different parties based on that logic?
Nobody is suggesting life is fair Lloyd, it is what it is. Expecting Trump to honour pledges he never made is, in my opinion naive in the extreme.

Hudswell, are you aware that the odds on Trump being impeached are 2-1, and the odds of him resigning are 13/8.

Polls might get it wrong, but the bookies get it less wrong

Glad to hear that you are not a Trump fan, but there appears a majority on this forum who are.

Every time I see the man on TV, and this is nothing to do with press reporting after the event, its what I see with my own eyes. The man is a caricature. He doesn't like 'bad hombres'. Well neither do I, he is one hell of a bad hombre.

I hope to God he is booted out soon.
