I had to turn off sound, because the most prominent noise was the rattling of the go-pro arm that soon becomes very annoying.

I did another one today going from Kallepeia down to the sea via Ezousa Valley. If I can edit out all the bits where the wife made me stop to let her photograph a flower I will post that.

No idea. Well, I was paying more attention to the route than the speedo. I wasn't going blisteringly fast though.

@Dom: regarding your rattling GoPro cam, I posted a link to really high quality camera mount solutions fairly recently. It was in the Polemic Webcam thread, if I remember correctly...

Great video! Thanks for sharing (and please keep 'em coming, now that mystery photo of the day is taking a well-earned break, leaving a daily gap in our lives...)

Brilliant video Dominic. Will have to explore it on my bike in three weeks time. In October I rode as far as the water pumping stations and half way down the hill before returning back along a track to the army cam and then the road down the hill to Anarita.

I always think its very sad to see the abandoned villages. I wonder what happened to their inhabitants.

I think so too, but I suppose most of them are living in abandoned Greek Cypriot houses in the north.

What's even more impressive is the 'anti-shake' technology used in your GoPro cam, Dom.

If it was rattling around in its mount, then this shake was certainly not evident in the video footage!

Hmmm I tried wrapping the camera in rubber bands, to stop it shaking in it's mount. There was still a tap tap tapping, so something else on the device is causing it.

I have ordered the posh suction holder from GoPro themselves now. It gets very good write-ups.

It's a shame, but I read that GoPro have decided to halt cam production, citing low price competition as the reason. 1500 job losses, I believe...

There are lots of poorer quality imitators out there, for sure.
