S1 form to Citizens' Office ...

Post by MacManiac »

I've just received my S1 forms from the UK and need to take them to the Citizens' Office in Polis. Does anybody know whether other documents are required as identification? My new passport has not yet arrived.

My experience has in the past been that (Sods Law!) they will ask you for the document you didn't take with you.

It was quite funny in the end. I presented my S1 and the lady asked for my yellow slip, which I handed over. She took out a form and started to fill it in. My wife showed her medical card, where I am named as a dependent. She stopped, tore the form up and said it was not necessary to proceed. I asked what would happen if my wife died (just in case) and she said it would not matter. My comment about dying cost me an expensive dinner.

LOL, that will teach you!
Next time, ponder a while before you open your mouth and decide whether what you're planning to say will get you in hot water :-)
