Good Morning Sunshine

Post by aphrodite »

Back at last after a few grim, dull days. The forecasters got it right to move the Carnival to today, I hope it goes well as I can't get down there but I'm sure some lovely photos will be posted. X :D

Yes lovely sunshine Aphrodite, after that good amount of rain we had the last two days which will raise the water level in our Asprokremnos dam.

Pics from the Carnival won't come from me as I am not into Carnival at all and never was. (I am from the South of Germany were Carnival is not that important than in the West.) But if you cannot leave the house why not watching the nice video I posted yesterday:

I watched it several times as I like not only the performance but also the nice music with it...

Hi Max, thanks for the link to the skating. I watched it live as skating is my favourite winter Olympic sport. They were superb, I was mesmerised by the German couple's performance and the music. I understand Christopher Dean of Torvil & Dean had a hand in the choreography. Certainly the costumes had shades of colours similar to T&D's Bolero.

I can't get to the Carnival today because I have a prior commitment. :D

What a wonderful sunny day after those grim few days.

We did go to the Carnival, for the second time since making our home here for the last 12 years. The first time we didn't stay very long but today we had lunch on the seafront and watched it from there, then walked back to the car and passed the floats waiting to start out. Lots of young children who were very excited in their costumes. I think Jumbo's sales have increased these last couple of weeks! All in all a good turn-out and thank goodness it was re-scheduled.
