Different area - different orchids (pics)

Post by cyprusmax47 »

I thought on such a dusty day and bad weather forecast for tonight, I visit another area to look for orchids before heavy rain perhaps will kill them.

The area: if you remember one of Dominic's blogs some weeks ago, it is there

Wherever you look, different orchids in wild vegetation

It is amazing how some of the orchids grow through this dense vegetation

close up of this beautiful dark ones

very pretty

also tiny yellow orchids are there

and the blue one is not less impressive
Image

in very dense environment these are growing

and also one of my favourite one can find at the same area

So I think my little trip, just 4 km from home was worth exploring today...

Max, please, to save me looking back over old blogs, where is this?

Lovely photos, thanks. It looks like a nice sunny day even though it's gloomy and dusty

I am very glad I did this trip yesterday as this heavy rain last night for sure flattened the tiny orchids. It was the heaviest rainfall so far this Winter in my place, with nearly 30 l/m2 and it looks like there is more to come today... (good for our dams)
